A transplant from Wisconsin, I moved to Grand Rapids at age 18 to attend Calvin College. Several years later, my high school sweetheart Dawn and I got married, fell in love with West Michigan, and decided to settle here. Today we reside in Ada, and are blessed with four wonderful and incredible children.
I currently am an amateur golf and fitness enthusiast. I’m not sure which sport I would play professionally when I grow up, but for now it’s been suggested I stick with my day job.
I strive to live my life in such a way that honors God in all that I do.
I love what I do for a living, and every aspect of investing, planning, and serving others.
What I enjoy most is developing meaningful, long-term relationships with clients. Their stories and their dreams are very inspiring to me, and I am so grateful for their trust and friendships.

*The PLANADVISER Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers list is compiled from responses to the PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser Survey. The list is drawn solely from a set of quantitative variables and information in the survey supplied by the advisers themselves. To become eligible for this quantitative listing, advisers must complete the annual PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser Survey, fielded each September. A subsegment of the questions was used to determine eligibility for the Top 100. Categories in which advisers compete are determined by the number of advisers and the number of total employees (including support staff). We highlight the quantitative standouts according to the dollar value of qualified plan AUA as well as the number of plans under advisement. The award is not representative of any one client’s experience, is not an endorsement, and is not indicative of an advisor’s future performance. Raymond James is not affiliated with the Financial Times.
